This Last Quarter has been an Exciting One

This last quarter of the year has been an exciting one!
What started as a simple Hawaiian themed Open House in Denver on October 7th morphed into a full fledged casino night at the Mike Ward Maserati Dealership.
Beyond cards and dice, the event included a variety of auction items and more importantly, ‘Ohana Oasis alumni who came to share their experiences with attendees. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed items, won auction packages, made donations, and volunteered. Because of you, the evening raised enough to fund three parents in a retreat in 2018!

Next, our signature Giving for Joy Gala came just last week. It was a smashing success, raising enough to host an entire retreat in 2018! In addition to the brass quintet, photo booth (click here to see your photos), and silent and live auctions, the 150 plus attendees had a blast playing games, a Dessert Dash, and so much more.

” ‘Ohana Oasis and the island of Kaua’i have become my new loves, replacing the scar tissue in my heart with strands of gold.”

– Ann Martindale, 2016 retreat  participant, sharing from her heart and moving everyone in the ballroom.

Thanks to Naim Hasan Photography, who graciously donated his time to take amazing pictures that captured the essence of the night! You can view the whole album here.

This was such a wonderful event and we can’t wait to do it again! Save the Date for the 2018 Giving for Joy Gala Saturday, November 3rd. When you reserve your ticket or table by December 31, 2017 receive an extra drink ticket for each attendee for the night of the event.  Click here for details and to secure your spot now.

What’s Next?

Our Kaua’i base of donors and volunteers is working hard to put the final touches on our first ever December retreat.  In a couple of short weeks eight more parents will be boarding a plane, flying to Kaua’i for their very own retreat experience.  We can’t wait!
