It looks like I’ve got some overarching themes on which I can build my year of being happy. But first things first…I’m happy when I’m successful, so January is dedicated success. More specifically setting myself up for success in being happy.
How exactly do I go about doing that? Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project, tackled energy in January. Makes sense. When starting something new it’s easy to put energy behind it. As times ticks along much less so. I know I’ll need a consistent level of energy throughout the year to keep on my quest instead of falling into old, sometimes lazy habits.
What gives me energy?
- Good sleep
- Eating healthy
- Exercising regularly
- Inspiring social interactions
- Being inspired
Typical New Year’s resolutions…That’s what January is going to look like. But for a specific reason, protecting and adding to my energy stores to ensure success in whole hearted happiness at every level.
I’ll dig more deeply into being inspired tomorrow. For now I’ll get my concrete ways I can incorporate all of the others into my daily habits to ensure success. Here’s to hoping the new motivation behind these tried and tired resolutions make it past January.
