I haven’t written here in the blog for awhile. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy, I have been. With cool stuff that makes me happy :). For March my goal has been to focus on investing in my relationships. It’s been a fun month full of stretching myself and spending time in relationship. I’m fortunate enough to be part of a halau (a group of people learning hula together) and this month we had our first ho’ike (performance). As a group we spent several days together leading up to it preparing for the big day. It was full of connection and expanding and building nervous energy as the big day grew closer. It was definitely a stretch for me to perform in front of people!
I also got to share some quality time with family. My cousin came for the week and we had good time together connecting over shared family memories and values as well as simply having fun discovering new places on the island.
On the work side of things, beyond writing almost every day (you’ll have to stay tuned for that project), I’ve also created a You Tube station called, Grief to Life where I’ll be sharing quick glimpses into life on Kaua’i, what I’m learning and what’s on my mind. You can subscribe here.
I’m thinking April is going to be all about being playful and having fun. Working on some concrete goals for that now.
